A Quiet Last Day in Paris

May 26, 2008 - Lunch in the Neighborhood

We woke this morning, had coffee and talked. Before packing, I wanted to go for a walk. So we both went out, walked down Damremaent to rue Ordiner. No pictures from this last day. On the way back, we had lunch. We both had the duck breast with figs that was simply wonderful. We shared a half-carafe of red wine and talked. So much fun. On the way home, we stopped at the Monoprix supermarket for chocolate. I will miss these great walks.
Then I packed. Bobbie will stay on for another week or so. Now I'm ready to go home, but the joy of this wonderful trip will stay with me for a lifetime. Thank you, dear friend, for being who you are.

May 27, 2008 Paris to San Francisco

I was up at 2:45 a.m. to catch my flight. Bobbie was up before me. I dressed, Bobbie stripped my bed and I rolled it up again. The taxi was waiting at 3:30 a.m. as requested. There was no traffic and it was only 30 minutes to the airport. There was a gibbous moon hanging in the sky as we drove there.
